Ex-DeMbare striker Macheke joins Swallows from Maritzburg United

Former Dynamos striker Tawanda Macheke has joined the DStv Premiership side Moroka Swallows from Maritzburg United.

He confirmed the move to Nehanda Radio on Friday revealing he penned a two-year-deal with Swallows.

“It’s just a new lease of life God has granted me and I am grateful,” said Macheke reacting to his new move.

Macheke made 12 appearance for Maritzburg United this season and was yet to find the back of the net.

He joined the Pietermaritzburg based side in January 2022 from Black Rhinos, signing a two-year deal and was left with one-year on his contract upon joining Swallows.

Speaking to FARPost Macheke’s agent Gibson Mahachi said his client “needs a new challenge”.
