PSL newcomers Sheasham to take on Highlanders in friendly match
Premier Soccer League (PSL) new boys Sheasham Football Club are set to host giants Highlanders in a pre-season practise match over the weekend at Ascot Stadium in Gweru.
The two clubs confirmed the match on their social media pages.
“We’re traveling to Gweru this Saturday for a : “Welcome to the League friendly match” against Sheasham FC,” the visitors, Bosso wrote on their Facebook page.
“Friendly Match alert. Sheasham FC will host Highlanders this Saturday, the 11th of February at Ascot Stadium in another pre-season match,” confirmed Sheasham.
Kick off is 3pm.
Gate charges have been pegged at US$3 for the rest of the ground and US$5 for the V.I.P section.
The match comes two weeks after the Construction Boys also hosted another giant, Dynamos, in a friendly at the same venue (Ascot Stadium).
Sheasham lost 1-0 to the Glamour Boys, thanks their central defender and captain Frank Makarati’s goal in the dying minutes of the match.
The PSL newcomers who are sharpening spears ahead of their maiden season in the top flight league also hosted Black Rhinos last weekend in another practise match that ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
