‘One day I will be a great coach, not arrogant but confident’: Willard Katsande

Kaizer Chiefs legend Willard Katsande who also captained the Zimbabwe national team believes that one day he will be a great coach.

Katsande was speaking to the media department of his new club Crystal Lake FC where he was appointed to the technical team.

“One day I will be a great coach, not arrogant but confident,” the ex-Ajax Cape Town man said, as quoted by Crystal Lake on their official Facebook page.

The former Warriors captain was unveiled by the club via its social media platforms on Wednesday last week.

“Crystal Lake FC welcomes the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard (Salt and Vinegar) Katsande to the technical team”, the club confirmed.

He was part of the technical staff that led Lake to a comfortable 3-1 win against Mkhuhlu Rangers this past weekend.

Katsande is a CAF D license holder after obtaining the coaching badge in 2022 following his retirement from football.

The Gunners star once revealed his desire to coach the Zimbabwe senior national team in the near future.

“I have dreams of moving into coaching because I have the passion and one day, I want to be the head coach of one of the PSL teams.

“My main objective is to coach the Zimbabwe national team,” said Katsande in December 2022.
