English League Two side Notts County release Munakandafa, keep Chicksen

English League Two side Notts County will release Zimbabwean youngster Luther Munakandafa when his contract with the club expires on 30 June 2024.

The club announced in a statement via social media platforms and on their website.

According to County, Munakandafa is among six players involved in their promotion from the National League in 2022-23 whose contracts will not be renewed come end of season.

“Six players who made huge contributions towards our EFL return will be leaving the club this summer.

“Jim O’Brien, Richard Brindley, John Bostock, Aden Baldwin and Tobi Adebayo will all depart Meadow Lane upon the expiration of their contracts, while Connell Rawlinson has been made available for transfer.

“Youngster Luther Munakandafa will also be moving on,” wrote the club.

Munakandafa, the ex-Young Warriors forward signed his first professional contract with County in June 2022.

Meanwhile, one time Warriors left back Adam Chicksen will remain at the club for the 2024/25 campaign.
