On fire Marshall Munetsi scores, assists in Stade de Reims 4-0 win
Warriors star Marshall Munetsi put on a man-of-the-match performance when his side Stade de Reims ran riot over visitors Troyes with a 4-0 victory during a French Ligue 1 match played on Sunday afternoon.
The match was played at the Stade Auguste-Delaune Stadium.
Munetsi broke the deadlock 10 minutes into the game tapping home into an empty net from close range (with his right foot) to take his season’s tally to four goals so far.
The Zimbabwean international then teed up Maolida who perfectly curled the ball into the far right corner from outside the box.
Reims are now unbeaten in 15 consecutive games their longest run since returning into the top flight in 2018-19 season.
They are seated on 10th position on the log standings with 33 points from 23 matches.
Meanwhile, Munetsi could end up playing in England if he keeps on putting on stellar performances.
This comes after multiple reports recently indicated that English Premier League (EPL) and English Championship clubs were interested in the defensive midfielder.
He is reportedly on the radar of EPL side AFC Bournemouth who are also home to his fellow countryman Jordan Zemura.
Championship sides Watford and Burnley are also reportedly keeping a close tab on the 26-year-old ex-Orlando Pirates player.
