On April 16, the police were alerted to a robbery at the transport company in Benoni, Ekurhuleni. Preliminary investigations suggest that about 14 armed men arrived in a sedan and three trucks and held the security guards at gunpoint.

The suspects then hooked up trailers that were loaded with copper. Police and private security guards arrived and intercepted the gang while still on the premises, resulting in a shoot-out and the arrest of suspects.

A thirteenth accused is in hospital after he fell off a palisade fence trying to flee.

Of the 13 accused, only Mlambo is legally in the country. However, Vilakazi and Ngubeni say they possess South African identity documents, though home affairs was yet to confirm this.

The comments here just shows the long way that Zimbabwe still has to go as far as unity goes. First of all Dudula is not entirely right, killing people just because there are criminals among them is so not the solution. Secondly, Shonas need to understand that there are also Shona people committing crimes, serious ones for that matter, just because they are not as aggressive does not mean that they are different in the context of criminals. Chamisa’s job is going to be the most difficult if there’s a group of Zimbabweans who still see themselves as righteous and superior and unfortunately Zimbabweans group themselves even here in South Africa. There’s a serious fight that you guys have to fight and this attitude is going to defeat the victory.

Reply to  Nhlanhla Phewa

Nyasha Makaveli Munemo there’s a lot of underlying issues in as far as what you’re saying goes. There’s a reason why Shonas always have only vile things to say about Ndebeles and it didn’t only result from them being criminals but way deeper than that.

Reply to  Nhlanhla Phewa

Nyasha Makaveli Munemo but that is not going to help build Zimbabwe at this point. So we move forward and start recognizing each other as humans it only starts there.

Reply to  Nhlanhla Phewa

We got a serious trouble of tribalism but i blame our founding fathers for institutionalising it.

Reply to  Nhlanhla Phewa

Nhlanhla Phewa yaa but being the leads in crime when it comes to crime issues is also a serious concern.

Reply to  Nhlanhla Phewa

Mthande Michael Manzini the problem is that Zimbabweans are no friends of the truth, forever pointing the finger to the next man. AmaNdebele’s behavior is the result of decades of economic exclusion. The Shonas supported destruction and created a powerful monster out of hate for Ndebeles and in turn they gained an enemy of the whole state, now you have 2 monsters, the one you endorse and the one you showed hate and when you finally realized the fatality of that, it’s too late. Everybody loses and now you’re in the same box as the ones you thought were subhuman. Zimbabweans need to fix this error first.

Nyasha Makaveli Munemo but do you realize that Wellington kachidza got the longest sentence ever given to a Zimbabwean in SA.Find out about the story.

Reply to  Nhlanhla Phewa

The hatred between those 2 tribes was mutual to begin with. So nobody triggered who to be what they have become now.We just need to stop hating each other for the sake of humanity.

Reply to  Nhlanhla Phewa

The day we stop blaming the ndebele or the shona and start blaming Zimbabweans then we start going forward as long as are going along tribal lines my brothers and sisters am very very sorry to inform you that we will be doomed as a nation

Reply to  Nhlanhla Phewa

Netsai Munjara lol why have you got to lie? There was no mutual hate here. One thing that has to stop is the habitual lying rooted egotistical ways.

Reply to  Nhlanhla Phewa

Bernard Virimai Ganyiwa period!! However it’s necessary for people of Zimbabwe to iron these things out in a manner of conversation in order to sincerely move forward.

Reply to  Nhlanhla Phewa

Nhlanhla Phewa What lies coz u don’t want to hear the truth but only what i think its true that’s what only matters to you. And hatred doesn’t have measurements. And im not here to offend anyone. We just need to stop hating each other that’s all.

Reply to  Nhlanhla Phewa

Netsai Munjara I’m speaking the truth and you are trying to divert it to fit your egotistical narrative. Zimbabweans need to start speaking the truth otherwise all this fake unity is going to have them self destructing eventually even after the days of victory. Don’t be childish be a grown-up and speak the truth or keep quiet and firstly deal with that inner child full of theatrics.

Reply to  Nhlanhla Phewa

Nhlanhla PhewaNhlanhla Phewa yes we need to iron out these issues as brothers and sisters not as ndebele and shona period
