The Miss Zimbabwe UK 2014 pageant is set for the Quality Skyline Hotel in Luton on Saturday with the organizer Simbarashe Nyanhanga telling Nehanda Radio he wants to restore the event to its former glory after years of challenges.
Two years after taking over the brand Nyanhanga who runs Simba Media Global told us he was “deeply moved at the response of the entire community this season, from the appointed team, the girls geared for the ramp, the sponsors , media houses and most importantly the Zimbabweans from all walks of life.”
Twelve girls are competing for the crown with the winner getting an “All-Expenses-Paid” holiday to any European destination among other things in the package. Companies sponsoring the event include Moneygram, Chiltern Support and Housing, Mama Jumbe Restaurant and T444Z Hair Food Products.
Nyanhanga also revealed how the ladies’ groups who have made tremendous community in-roads and forged unifying platforms on the social networks like Facebook have also refused to be left out, graciously splitting the girls amongst their diverse strong battalions in support.
This year’s event will be hosted by singer Robbie Gee and Radio and TV presenter Vickie Storm.
