Mukanga says he is looking forward to perform better at his new base and is excited to join the Sunshine Boys.

“I have always wanted to play for Harare City over the years and when the opportunity came I was quick to grab it with open arms.

“Harare is a big team which is also a positive for me career wise. So far am adapting well with other players and am promising good performance.

“I see the team doing even better this season compared to how they played last year,” he said.

The midfielder has previously been strongly linked with a move to DRC side Lupopo before finally getting a stint with the Sunshine boys.

“When you are out of contract as a player you try your luck at different clubs and that is what I was doing in DRC.

“Of course nothing really came out of it but am happy I am with Harare City now,” Mukanga said.

Harare City kicked off their season this year with a game against champions FC Platinum at home.

They will play away against newcomers Manica Diamonds and then face Highlanders. H-Metro
