England born Zimbabwean footballer David Chigwada on Saturday, officially completed his move from Manchester City to West Ham United.
The 16-year old’s move was announced by top football journalist Fabrizio Romano on his social media platforms.
“2007 born talent David Chigwada has signed his West Ham contract after leaving Manchester City.
“West Ham moved fast to bring in a talent for present and future, “ the Italian posted on his Facebook page.
West Ham only took to social media platform X, to post Chigwada’s video dribbling a defender during a Future Cup tournament that was organised by Ajax when he was still playing for City.
In the Future Cup tournament organized by Ajax, Manchester City’s under-17 player David Chigwada showcased a remarkable football skill, labeled the “Chigwada Spin”, during a match against Ajax.

The Hammers’ caption reveals that the talented youngster ‘owns’ a football skill called the “Chigwada Spin”.
“Chigwada backheeled the ball with his right foot, spun, and nutmegged the defender with the outside of his left foot, showcasing a unique and skillful move.
“The video of the “Chigwada Spin” went viral on social media and experts highlighted the quick body shifting and footwork involved in the skill, drawing comparisons to maverick tricksters like Yannick Bolasie. David Chigwada is set to join West Ham Academy.”
Chigwada joined Manchester City in 2022 from Blackburn Rovers.
So far, he has represented England in junior ranks but he is eligible to play for the Zimbabwe senior national team.
