Chiefs playing like champions: Katsande
Willard Katsande says Kaizer Chiefs know how amazing it feels winning the League title – which is why they are giving their all to defend their crown.
The Amakhosi are favourites to reclaim the trophy, being level with Mamelodi Sundowns at the top of the table, but boasting a better goal-difference and having played two games less.
Tonight they are up against bottom club Golden Arrows, who have suffered five defeats in a row and are nowhere in terms of confidence.
Katsande says that while they are confident of winning the title again, they are not looking too far ahead.
“Every game in the League is more like a cup final for us because teams throw everything against us,” the Zimbabwean tells KickOff.com. “Teams now know our game-plan so it is more demanding for us to get results.
“What helps is that we are always more focused on the next game rather than a match four games away. We are not even worried about what is going on behind us.”
Katsande adds: “We are definitely confident [of defending the title] and we are playing as champions with the intention of winning the League again.
“Now that we have tasted the League we know how sweet it is and we need to stay switched on and stay humble for us to win it again.” KickOff.com
