According to the H Metro tabloid newspaper, Freeman was lucky to escape unscathed when a Mazda 6 vehicle he purchased from the UK last year in November, veered off the road before safely landing into a bushy area.

The paper claimed the accident occurred near Tynwald South Mother Touch Junior School around 4:30pm. Members of the public who recognised him are said to have helped him push his car back onto the main road.

But writing on social networking site Facebook, Freeman said:

“The car burst a tyre; I was not speeding usateerere zvinotaura vanhu. People always say a lot of stuff, teere inini it was an accident hapana pressure wangu,” he allegedly said.

Asked by the paper if he had a drivers licence, Freeman said; “Where did you get the issue about a license? Don’t worry about that, it was just an accident that’s all and no one got injured,” he said.
