Zimbabwean dancehall artist Buffalo Souljah who is based in South Africa is set to collaborate with R&B superstar Akon in the coming months.
Speaking to the state owned Herald newspaper Souljah said he would also be working on the project with South African artist DJ Waxxy.
“It is still on the primary level. We spoke about it with him (Akon) when he came to South Africa for the launch of the Konvict Clothing line. The tracks should come out before year-end,” he said.
“We are looking at doing a show with him, and the whole idea is to bridge the gap and come up with something that is African-American.
“Most Africans are ashamed of themselves, and through this project we are encouraging them to get rid of that mentality and express pride in themselves,” he added.
