Nqobizitha Masuku scores as Jwaneng Galaxy clinch Orange FA Cup in Botswana

BOTSWANA – Former FC Platinum and Highlanders holding midfielder Nqobizitha Masuku was on target as Jwaneng Galaxy secured the Orange FA Cup title, along with P800,000 cash prize, in Botswana over the weekend.

Galaxy claimed a 2-0 victory over Security Systems in the final, defending their domestic cup crown.

Masuku and teammate Thabang Sesinyi netted the decisive goals.

The two capped off a strong campaign for Galaxy, who narrowly missed out on the league title in the final matches of the recently concluded season.

Winning the coveted FA Cup guarantees Galaxy a spot in continental football through the CAF Confederation Cup.

Masuku, who joined the club in January 2023, has been instrumental in Galaxy’s recent success.

He has helped the club secure multiple trophies, including two consecutive league titles in 2023 and 2024.
