Ex-Bulawayo City coach Philani “Beefy” Ncube fired in Botswana

Botswana premier league outfit Nico United sacked former Bulawayo City head coach Philani “Beefy” Ncube after a string of poor results.

Ncube whose start to the season was disappointing was initially suspended by the club on Monday before he was shown the exit door on Thursday.

Beefy’s suspension was not lifted and his departure was announced by the club in a statement issued on Thursday.

“Nico United Management wishes to inform its members, supporters, well wishers and the public that we have amicably parted ways with Head Coach Mr Philani Ncube. We wish him well in his future endeavours,” wrote the club.

Ncube who joined Nico United last year in October after penning a one-year-deal, leaves the club 11th on the log table with 11 points after 11 premier league games played so far.
