Chiyangwa video on First Lady revealing

By B.T Munengwa

From the wake of things, focusing on the recent viral video uploaded by Phillip Chiyangwa (PC) hyperbolically praising The First Lady, I have just been privileged enough to know him better through that video.

One of the most striking observations came from the words themselves. There was something terribly wrong about the people he was travelling with.

When he was enthusiastically highlighting on the economic success of our first lady someone who I was not privileged enough to identify by name said, “she is a businessman”.

He himself had to intervene to correct the proponents of gender by saying, “she is a businesswoman of note” seconds after, so as to do the damage control.

So what do you have to say about the calibre of the people that (PC) as a resourceful person moves around with?

I also noted that, even though the Zimbabwe Republic Police and The Traffic Safety Of Zimbabwe regulates that, every human being in a moving vehicle must fasten his or her seatbelt, I found out that this law falls on deaf ears when it comes to the driver of PC’s car as well as this other passenger who is seated on the left back side of the car in the video in mention. Then deduce on what kind of leaders these men would become, if they cannot follow these simple safety instructions?

In this video, it is clear that, PC exercises his moral and intellectual leadership on his fellows in an intimidating way that coerces them into nodding heads to anything that comes out of his mouth. It gave the impression that, they had a fear in them that, if they were not to agree, they could be booted out of the car because he is the one in power for real.

Apart from him being the dominant speaker during the time of the cast, for the people in the car to agree, he has to somewhat repeat his utterances before they could join to endorse his stance and add the word “comeon” to quicken his facilitating process. Again what do you make of that?

In PC’s comments, his position on business endeavors are exposed, showing that, he is after a person that makes the business practice too simple. Maybe in other ways implying the removal of taxes and other practices. Remember that I just said, Maybe. But here is what Napoleon Hill (1937) in Think and Grow Rich says,

if you are one of those who believe in trading their votes to politicians in return for the passing of laws which permit the raiding of the public treasury, you may rest securely on your belief, with certain knowledge that no one will disturb you, because THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY WHERE EVERY MAN MAY THINK AS HE PLEASES, where nearly everybody can live with but little effort, where many may live well without doing any work whatsoever. However, you should know the full truth concerning this FREEDOM of which so many people boast, as so few understand…
This is the category that Mr PC puts himself in with the voice content found in his video on matters concerning why he supports The First Lady. It depends on how you take it.

There is also another aspect of dramatic irony in his choice of words.

On this, it is much more transparent, hence I will not delve into much. He calls The First Lady in the first segment with great respect but he later goes on to call her by her first name of birth. That to me showed that he does not have a consistent approach on the aspect of respecting The First Lady.

However, it is not that his video always shows the ‘bad’ parts of his stance but there is this one striking positive aspect that I noted. He simply had bought the best one of the most liberal papers in the country, and I guess that, it was the only paper that he had in possession on his way to a Zanu PF rally.
