Silus Ngwenya is no longer in good books with Rudo Matonhodze as a result of her alleged conduct. This came to light at the domestic violence court where Rudo was seeking a protection order against her husband.

“Her application before the court is not true. She is accusing me of stabbing her with a knife and burning her but she has no evidence to prove it. Whenever we have sex, she calls the name of her late boyfriend. She told me that she will be seeing his vision. Whenever I ask her about the issue, she insults me, “he said.

“I suspect she is dating another man, she locks up the children in the house and leaves for the bush to have sex with him. At one point, she wanted to scald me with cooking oil. She once called the chaplain from my workplace and accused me of abusing her.”

In response, Rudo denied the allegations and accused her husband of being violent.

“My husband is a violent man, the issue about me trying to scald him, is not true. He assaulted me with fists and used a burning plastic to torture me. He is also in the habit of dipping my head in a tub full of water. It’s also not true that I am having an affair. If he has evidence, he should tell my parents about it.

“I never wanted to report him to the police since I took him for my husband but now I am afraid of him. He wanted to stab me with a knife but my five year old child screamed. A number of people have tried to help us but to no avail. The issue about calling my late boyfriend’s name during sex we can always talk about it,” she said.

Presiding magistrate Barbara Mateko is expected to pass a ruling today.
