HARARE – Prominent arts promoter and Book Café founder Paul Brickhill (56) has died.

Book Café founder Paul Brickhill dies

Brickhill died on Friday in South Africa at a Johannesburg hospital where he had gone for treatment. He fought a long battle with thyroid cancer.

His son Thomas confirmed that the much loved promoter had died.

“I cannot say as of now when he will be buried but people are gathered at 6 Durban Road Avondale,” he is quoted saying.
