Tsvangirai also had a rally at Mukandapi, in Shurugwi South.

*Chamisa tells people. Save ndivo vakaunza tea nesugar. Mugabe ange auraya nyika. But inzwisa. Zimbabwe ichagara makeke tabvisa Mugabe muhurumende

*Tsvangirai: To the war veterans present, remember you did not fight the was so you could starve. We will honour you and not abuse you, Feel free to be part of a new Zimbabwe. We have a place for you in the new Zimbabwe. You deserve it.

*Tsvangirai: We all know where we came from and shawi rehurombe musatidzose muna 2008. Dambudziko rinopera chete kana tapedza dambudziko rinonzi ZANU PF. Mugabe knows he lost. We have been in the inclusive government for years and we know he is finished. I welcome war vets, church leaders here. Traditional leaders I know you are being forced to support ZANU. We will free you from this abuse once we are in office.

*Tsvangirai: A leadership should listen to the people. If people say you have failed, the leave. Don’t cling to power. A responsive leadership steps down when people say you have failed. I will not stay a day longer if the people of Zimbabwe say I should go. I know you want me to clean the mess left by Mugabe. Mugabe’s government has neglected soldiers and police. They live in dilapidated houses, are poorly paid while the commanders are living large. Mugabe knows uniformed forces are ready for a New Zimbabwe. That’s why they were denied their right to vote. An MDC gvt will take care of our uniformed forces. We will free them from abuse. Lets vote wisely and remove the evil regime.

*Tsvangirai: Time has come to separate the party and government. A government should serve people without favour. Lets remove a government which thinks people owe it a living. Haikona kufira pachigaro kusvika vakunamwa nendove. Have we run out of manpower?

*Tsvangirai: We are going to rollout a massive rural housing scheme. It;s one of the many areas neglected by the uncaring ZANU PF government. Government chips in with materials while the people organise brigades for labour and every household will have decent housing.

*Tsvangirai: We say no to a leader who recycles non performers in cabinet. Non performers should be fired. A good leader takes tough decisions and fire those ministers who fail to deliver. I asked Mnangagwa to tell me his achievements since he was made minister and he had no answer. They are busy fattening themselves.

*Tsvangirai: ZANU PF is busy donating foodstuffs towards elections. Ask them: what will we eat after elections are gone. The MDC-T is here to make sure you don’t have to beg again or rely on handouts. We will create an economy which promotes up-liftment of people.

*Tsvangirai: Mugabe’s biggest problem has been to overstay and ruin the country. The MDC-T saved the country from collapse. Now we are on the road to full recovery after we boot out ZANU PF on 31 July.

*Tsvangirai: Mugabe should not be afraid that we will arrest him. We have not time for that. Our aim is to work to restore Zimbabwe’s prosperity. We are simply helping him to retire.
