Watch this Nehanda TV video exclusive as Local Government Minister Ignatius Chombo, the Zanu PF candidate for Zvimba North, is embarrassed last week during his rally in Ward 15, after angry supporters of his rival within the party, Edwin Matibiri came to disrupt proceedings.
Chombo sailed through in the Zvimba North constituency after beating his former wife, Marian, and Matibiri (Mugabe’s nephew) amid allegations of violence and vote rigging. Even Marian’s name was missing from some of the ballot papers.
The video filmed by a Nehanda Radio Citizen Reporter starts with Chombo addressing the rally before Matibiri’s supporters arrive in a group and start chanting ‘Mugabe tibvisire Chombo – Mugabe remove Chombo for us.”
Towards the end of the video, police officers try to reason with the angry protestors.
