VIDEO: Zimbabwe traffic police caught on camera accepting US$20 bribe

VIDEO – The endemic corruption in the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) was exposed by a South African biker who secretly filmed traffic officers at a roadblock accepting his offer of a US$20 bribe to avoid a speeding ticket.

In the film the biker who was doing 81 km kilometres per hour in a 60 km zone claims “I came all the way from London on this bike and this is the first time I got a fine in two months.”

One reader commenting on the video on Facebook said “I laughed because they start out wanting to give a ticket but end up being all interested in the bike plus the journey. At least they aren’t violent like South African cops.”
