CAPS United 0-2 Highlanders
Highlanders’ striker Masimba Mambare scored twice in the second half to give the log leaders a 0-2 win over free falling CAPS United at Rufaro on Saturday.
The win means Bosso extended their unbeaten start to the season to 17 matches and the Bulawayo based giants are now seven points clear of Shabanie Mine who went down 1-0 to Harare City at Gwanzura.
Former Monomotapa coach Taurai Mangwiro was thrust into the CAPS United hot seat following the sacking of Irish coach Sean Connor. His assistant is now former Highlanders coach Mkhuphali Masuku.
The presence of Masuku was thought to have proved the Green Machine all the inside information they needed but all this came to nought as Mambare scored after 56 minutes before making the win safe with his second on 70 minutes.
The defeat was CAPS United’s fifth on the trot.
