Tsvangirai daughter weds at private ceremony

Harare- Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai’s daughter Vimbai tied the knot at a private ceremony at one of Harare’s most expensive and exclusive venue. The private wedding which was attended by Tsvangirai’s close family members, friends and associates was held at Glen Forest in Glen Lorne.

The event was kept a secret from the prying eyes of the media at the request of Tsvangirai’s daughter. Vimbai who wedded an evangelist is the second of Tsvangirai’s daughters to wed after Rumbidzai who tied the knot at the exclusive Wild Geese Lodge in Pomona. Glen Forest has become a favourite among the A-list residents of Harare as a wedding venue.

Last time it hosted the wedding of Grace Mugabe’s son Russell Goreraza. Russell is Grace’s son from her first marriage to Stanley Goreraza, an Air Force of Zimbabwe pilot who is believed to be a military attaché in China.

Sources told Radio Vop that there was an assortment of top of the range vehicles belonging to guests of the Tsvangirais. Most of the guests were also dressed in their best Italian designed suits.

However there was more of political chattering at the wedding than that related to the occasion due to the impending MDC-T congress to be held later this week in Bulawayo. Tsvangirai is already in Bulawayo trying to bring order in the party following two aborted elections to elect provincial executive.

Scores of MDC-T youths are still nursing injuries from intra-party fighting between two rival factions, one led by cabinet minister Gorden Moyo and the other by prominent city businessman and senator for Mzilikazi, Matson Hlalo. Radio VOP
