A month after President Emmerson Mnangagwa splashed US$18 million on a presidential helicopter in the middle of an economic crisis and grinding poverty, the African Development Bank and the Government of India yesterday donated 20 ambulances to Zimbabwe.

Dairibord Zimbabwe has donated 254 blankets, 254 bedsheets and 127 pillowcases to Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo.

She stayed in hospital for 96 days, from where she wrote her Grade Seven exams after a near-fatal accident that literally cost her an arm and a leg.

A two-roomed house built through donations for a 108-year-old great grandfather from Bulilima District in Matabeleland South Province is now complete and the old man has since moved in.

After a busy 2020 distributing truckloads of mealie meal as part of coronavirus relief across Zimbabwe, UK based businessman/preacher Prophet Uebert Angel on Monday continued with his  philanthropic activities by donating 7 tonnes of mealie meal to the Angel of Hope charity run by First Lady Auxilia Mnangagwa.
