Actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are secretly in the process of ending their marriage of 17 years, RadarOnline reported.
“For Will and Jada, holding it together these past few years has been tough because their marriage has been on life support for a long time,” a source told Radar.
“They’re exhausted from trying to maintain the façade of a happy union.”
But another source close to the family told Gossipcop.com that the marriage was very much intact, with the report of a divorce simply “not true.” Radar had previously reported, and later backtracked, that the pair were undergoing a “trial separation.”
The 46-year-old Smith, who is currently filming the super villain flick, “Suicide Squad,” and his 43-year-old wife have been a fixture in the gossip glossies for the past four years amid reports of marital strife.
Pinkett Smith addressed rumours of her husband’s unfaithfulness during an interview with Howard Stern while promoting her latest movie, “Magic Mike XXL,” in June.
“You’ve got to trust who you’re with,” she told the radio shock jock. “And at the end of the day, I’m not here to be anybody’s watcher. I’m not his watcher. He’s a grown man.”
Pinkett Smith herself was dogged by cheating allegations involving her “HawthoRNe” co-star, Marc Anthony, in 2011.
According to the Radar report, the couple is working on a settlement to divide their $240 million fortune and prepare their children — son Jaden, 17, and Willow, 14 — for the divorce. New York Daily News
