Zimbabwe Young Warriors suffer another defeat in Malawi; lose 3-1 to Kenya

The Zimbabwe national team Under-20 side, the Young Warriors were on the receiving end again following a 3-1 defeat to Kenya on Friday afternoon.

This was the Young Warriors’ second successive defeat in the triangular tournament that is being hosted in Malawi.

Kenya increased their lead just after the hour mark to make it 3-0 through Hassan Beja Kitsao.

Young Warriors’ man of the moment, Denzel Mapuwa scored the consolation goal in the 82nd minute.

The 19-year-old Green Fuel forward has found the back of the net three times in the ongoing mini tournament.

He scored a brace on Wednesday when the Young Warriors lost 3-2 to Malawi.

Zimbabwe will return home without a point as they played their final match of the round robin tournament.
