‘Let me educate this korokoza’: Olinda Chapel slams alleged ‘runner’ Wicknell Chivayo

HARARE – Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo has found himself embroiled in a nasty war of words with fellow businessperson and socialite Olinda Chapel, who has been critical of his, display of wealth, including donation of cars to various prominent personalities in the country, at a time Zimbabwe seems to have more urgent needs.

Chivayo has been on a spending spree over the last few months, donating top of the range cars to musicians, civil servants and even congregants at the apostolic sect he subscribes to among others.

On Friday, Chivayo donated a Mercedes Benz reportedly worth US$140 000 to sungura great Alick Macheso.

However, the gifts do not seem to have gone down well with Olinda, who questioned his source of wealth with a Facebook post over the weekend, kickstarting a nasty back and forth between the two.

“Murume chaiye haapihwe mota nemumwe murume🙄🙄🙄 There I said it. Your sugar daddy has a sugar daddy,” she posted.

This did not go down well with Chivayo, who responded in kind.

“I’m not offended by your baseless and nonsensical sentiments at all my sister I know chirwere ichi chinopa vakawanda hasha dzakanyanya ndosaka chakanzi ne vakuru SHURAMATONGO…,” he wrote.

Olinda however, claimed that Chivayo had tried to bed her, an allegation that he denied. She went on to suggest that Chivayo had acquired his wealth from his romance with the ruling party, while alluding to his failure on the infamous Gwanda Solar Project.

“You have spent ZANU Pf money @.. ZANU PF if your sugar daddy. I am self made. Self financed, SELF made millionaire and Handizi ma slay queen avajaira kutengera magaro. Tsek! PS tirikuda magetsi edu!!” she wrote.

Meanwhile, Chivayo claimed that he was being targeted for his affiliation to the ruling party, as he took the opportunity to take a swipe at opposition leader, Nelson Chamisa.

“Ndanga ndati chirongwa chapera l’ve spent almost 2 million dollars but Chamisa newe muri 2 mandipa E MANYEMWE G G G .

“Ask everyone I bought a car they’ll tell you I even pay 600 dollars for their change of ownership and they collect their car with a full tank…chimuti chaenda limelight yatorwa ZVARWADZA..” he said.

Meanwhile, Olinda asked Chivayo to prove his wealth by donating to the country’s long neglected hospitals.

“A car is a liability ! Hazvipere Pa full tank. Service B at Mercedes right now is costing my Mercedes £400 as we don’t do fake parts. Please show us the log books stating the new owner Whilst you are at it please show up the ZIMRA payments of the $2million you have paid !

“Lastly I will NEVER feel threatened by a man who isn’t educated, worthless. Impractical, inept, weak and in futile person like you,” she wrote.

Olinda went on further to break down the cost of improving the country’s health infrastructure.

“THIS IS WHAT $2 million dollars should have done for Zimbabwe. Than kudzisa magaro evanhu vasina basa !

“Dialysis machine : The most efficient modalities were automated peritoneal dialysis (APD) and continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD), the mean annual costs of which were £21 655 and £15 570, respectively.

“Hospital-based haemodialysis (HD) cost £35 023 per annum and satellite-unit-based HD cost £32 669. The cost of home-based HD was £20 764 per year ZANU if this is a campaign for 2030 please remove this idiot he is making you look bad than good.

“Give to the people what the people want,” she wrote.
