SANDTON – South Africa-based Zimbabwean model Kim Jayde has stolen the shine from Mzansi’s top fashion stars such as Bonang and many others at the South Africa Fashion Awards (SAFA).
The Television Presenter and fashion fanatic was awarded the best fashion Icon of 2025 in South Africa at an event held on Saturday 4 October 2025 at the Hotel Sky in Sandton.
Kim was nominated in the same category as Bonang Matheba, fashion designer Rich Mnisi, actress Sarah Langa, Pamela Mtanga, Blue Mbombo, and Dineo Moeketsi.
Posting about her win on Instagram, Jayde said, “Words can’t express my gratitude. This one was voted for by YOU. The Best Fashion Icon Award at the SA Fashion Awards —and we brought it home.
“Thank you for seeing me and following along this crazy life journey! It means so much more than you’ll ever know.”
Bragging about the award in her acceptance speech, Kim threw a little shad at Bonang saying, “Yooh guys they put me up against Bonang, guy what the Hell!!”
Another major winner was Boity Thulo, who scooped the Best Fashion Influencer Award, proving that her bold and confident style continues to inspire many South Africans.
Renowned designer Rich Mnisi also took home the Best Fashion Designer Award, a well-deserved win for his consistent creativity and contribution to South African fashion.
Kim Jayde is part of the few Zimbabweans who have taken over South Africa’s showbiz industry with her amazing talent.
The model has always been patriotic about Zimbabwe and always brags about her country of origin every time she gets.
