BULAWAYO – Highlanders have honored their longest serving player and goalkeeper, Ariel Sibanda, with a Ford Ranger as a token of appreciation for his remarkable contribution to the club.
Sibanda, who has been with Highlanders since his junior days, has dedicated 16 years to the club.
In recognition of his loyalty and service, the club gifted the 34-year old goalkeeper the Ford Ranger he has been using since 2021.
“Highlanders FC is proud to express its heartfelt gratitude to Ariel Sibanda for his remarkable 16 years of dedicated service to the club,” the club announced on Tuesday.
“As a token of our deepest appreciation, we are honored to present him with this Ford Ranger today.”

The vehicle was given to Bosso by Sakunda Holdings during the sponsorship deal between the two parties in 2021.
It was meant to be used by the club captain with Sakunda also giving the same vehicle to then Dynamos skipper Partson Jaure.
Highlanders also confirmed Sibanda has extended his contract, ending speculation about his future following the expiration of his previous deal on December 31, 2024.
“We are delighted to announce that our esteemed captain, Ariel Sibanda, has pledged his continued commitment to the club, signing on for an additional two years,” the club added.
