Veteran midfielder Khama Billiat has picked former Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs speedy left back Tsepo Masilela as the toughest opponent he has ever faced in his whole career.
Despite sharing the pitch with world-class players like former Spain and Barcelona defender Gerard Pique, Billiat admits that Masilela always gave him a hard time in the field of play.
The former South African Premiership Soccer Star of the Year in 2016, revealed this during his recent interview with iDiski Times.
“Truly, to be honest, it was Tsepo Masilela,” Billiat confessed.
“I think so. He was playing for Kaizer Chiefs. I would stress the day before. I don’t know why. I was always struggling, playing against him.
“Even until today, I ask myself, ‘What was it so difficult?’ Why? I don’t know if there’s a game or games whereby, I would say I enjoyed (when playing against him), it was always difficult.”
Billiat is currently playing for Yadah in the Castle Lager PSL as he continues to make headlines following his return at the start of 2024 after leaving Chiefs.
He is the joint leading top scorer along with William Manondo of CAPS United and Lynoth Chikuhwa of Highlanders.
The trio is tied on 12 goals each with four league matches left in the season.
