UNITED KINGDOM – Former Zimbabwe Warriors captain Tendayi Darikwa has made an instant impact at his new club Lincoln City.
The 32-year-old has been impressive in the team’s last two games with the latest one being Saturday’s tight 2-1 defeat to Barnsley.
On the day, the full back reportedly produced another stellar performance much like when he made his competitive debut in the previous week.
Consequently, this has earned him rave reviews from Lincoln coach Michael Skubala.
Speaking to The Deck reporter, Jamie Johnson, said Skubala: “He did really well out there again. I like the way he is playing for us, he gets up and down the pitch, he drives the team on, he is a great leader.
“He gets in the box, and he’s unlucky to not get a penalty. He’s doing really well for us.”
Darikwa joined Lincoln in the summer as a free agent after terminating his contract with the Cypriot top flight league side Apollon Limassol.
