JOHANNESBURG – Popular content creators Tytie and Kiki have found themselves in legal trouble after they were reportedly summoned to appear at a police station in Johannesburg, South Africa.

It is thought that the couple is in hot soup for a recent live session on Facebook in which they revealed the contact details of Moreboys Munetsi, a legal representative, and they allegedly invited their followers to attack him.

Munetsi had been appointed by fellow content creators, Nyathi and Mai Nyathi, to mediate in a dispute between the couples.

This was after the pair allegedly reported the Nyathis’ Facebook page, resulting in the suspension of its monetisation. In his intervention, Munetsi reportedly tried to arrange a meeting between the feuding couples.

However, Tytie and Kiki reportedly then revealed his phone number in a Facebook Live video and told their followers to contact him so he could stop harassing them.

In a video, the usually playful pair revealed that law enforcement officials had given them summons to turn themselves in to the police.

“We received a call from a court sheriff about a case that [has been] opened in Johannesburg at Sandton Police Station. We don’t know yet the person who opened the case,” said Tytie.

The social media influencer said they had been asked to rescind some comments they made on their Facebook Live video.

“They are saying Tytie and Kiki must remove the [Facebook] Live that they recently did. We recently did a Live explaining what happened in Joburg telling people the truth that we know is the truth. They are saying we must do a Live again apologising.

“So the guy did his best to explain to us everything that is written because everything in these papers is in English, and you all know we struggle to understand English, even to speak it.

“So we need to go back home, sit down, [and] try to understand everything. But the main issue was that we did a Live, and they said we must delete it and apologise in public life on our Facebook page. [To] our 800k followers.”
