CAPS United legend Alois Bunjira upset over Nyahwa’s “brutal tackle” on son

Must Try

Trending

HARARE – CAPS United legend Alois Bunjira is not a happy man. This follows a tackle he described as “brutal and “unsportsmanship” on his son, Alois Bunjira Jnr by midfielder Shadreck Nyahwa during the Harare Derby between city rivals CAPS United and Dynamos FC this past Sunday.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns man did not bottle up, taking to social media to express his disappointment for the tackle he believes should have seen Nyahwa receiving a straight red card.

“So ,today (Monday) I have had phone calls and text messages with people inquiring about Junior Bunjira’s fitness after that brutal two-footed tackle from behind by Shadreck Nyahwa.

“Junior has a bruised swollen ankle and is in pain .The CAPS United doctors are monitoring the injury,” read Bunjira’s Facebook post.

“I am not sure how and why Nyahwa didn’t get a straight red card and an expulsion after that cruel bone crushing tackle from behind.

“That is a straight red card offense. I don’t know if I should say “fortunately” because there was nothing fortunate about that tackle… but fortunately, the tackle didn’t break Junior’s legs

“My intestines moved in horror when I saw that cruel tackle. I have to be honest, that I don’t know what I would do, if he had broken Junior’s leg. But all I know is that I would have possibly jumped onto the pitch to retaliate.

“There is no sportsmanship when one player is intentionally breaking someone else’s legs. Injuries are part of football.

“I played football and I know all about that, but when someone is intentionally trying to break another player’s leg, it ceases to be sportsmanship and a game of football. I don’t think I would be a sportsman if he had broken the kid’s legs.

“I think referees should be on the lookout for evil tackles like that on the field and footballers with that kind of actions should expelled. That is not football.

”Talent should be protected and brutals weeded out, not because Junior is my son but I am speaking for all victims of such brutality. As I wish Junior a speedy recovery, I hope Nyahwa apologized.”

Bunjira Junior was later replaced by Tendai Matindife who was instrumental for the Green Machine.

The match finished in a 1-1 stalemate with Kevin Moyo scoring for Dynamos from the spot just before the hour mark while Ralph Kawondera leveled matters for CAPS in the 83rd minute.

He should exercise restrain when is comes to these issues.
His son is a growth up and doesn’t need a washed up daddy to stand up for him.
This is football, not some crybaby sport.

Alois Bunjira GQ is doing the job of a father. He is sending a message to his son, “I’ve got your back son!”.

In life, as a young man od Junior Bunjira’s age and stage in his career, that is all you need sometimes, to feel protected, in order overcome your fears, spread your wings, and fly!

Vangani vana baba vanomirira vana vavo kudaro!

Kudos to you Kriss Kross, On behalf of all the fathers out there!👏🙏💪

Junior Bunjira, take note bro, the world is your oyster! You should not have many reasons to fail to succeed, with all the support and backing you are getting from your Dad! Forwards and onwards!
