HARARE – Controversial social media sensation Mai TT has come out in defense of her daughter, Fifi, after the leak of her sexually explicit pictures sent tongues wagging on social media on Wednesday.
While pictures of the 17-year-old had many scratching their heads and debating how it could happen to one so young, Mai TT seemed to be unbothered by the scandal.
In a video circulating on social media, Mai TT seemed to downplay the leak of the nude pictures, saying it had also happened to other prominent personalities in the past.
“Regedzai aburitse zvose zvaanazvo, vamwe hativhunduki ka,” she said in a video clip.
“The likes of Shashl had her nudes and videos leaked. You don’t have to worry about it, many people had their nudes leaked, which made them famous.”
On social media, many questioned Mai TT’s parenting skills after the leak of the pictures, with some expressing that she had failed her daughter.
This is not the first time that explicit pictures have haunted Mai TT and her family.
Last year, the controversial personality had social media on overdrive after her nudes leaked after what she said was an act of “revenge” by her ex-husband and her former friend.
At the time, Mai TT said she has since notified authorities in Zimbabwe and the United States of America of the cyber-bullying and revenge porn violation, as her ex-husband is reportedly in the US.
In an interview with Chronicle Showbiz, Mai TT said her former friend was given the nudes by her ex-husband and the two connived for the pictures and video to leak.
“The only person who had my nudes is my ex-husband who gave them to (name supplied). I’ve already reported them both in the countries they live in and here in Zimbabwe,” said Mai TT.
