HARARE – Yadah FC’s marquee signing Khama Billiat is likely to miss their upcoming match against Telone FC away at Bata Stadium in Gweru due to a calf injury.
The 34-year-old sustained the injury during Yadah’s match against Simba Bhora last week and was forced to leave the pitch just before halftime.
The off the ball incident saw him being replaced by the former Telone and Highlanders FC winger King Nadolo.
It has been reported Billiat won’t be fit for Yadah’s crucial match against the WiFi Boys on Sunday due to a swollen calf.
The injury is a setback for Billiat who is aiming to revive his career at Yadah after a difficult spell at Kaizer Chiefs.
Billiat is yet to score for Yadah since making his debut, although he has come close on a few occasions, hitting the crossbar thrice against Hwange, Dynamos, and Arenel Movers.
Despite his lack of goals, Billiat’s talent and quality remains unquestionable and his absence against Telone will be a huge blow for struggling Yadah who are yet to register a victory.
Yadah are anchoring the log table after managing two points in five matches, losing three and drawing two.
