Three Karoi fuel dealers die in inferno after home explosion, police confirm

KAROI – Three men have been burnt to death in Karoi after fuel which they had been illegally storing in their house caught fire, police said on Wednesday.

The victims, all 30, were identified by their next of kin as Clifford Mwanza, Takudzwa Muromba and Sibanfani Macheza from Chikangwe suburb.

Police said the incident happened at the weekend, and warned the public against storing fuel and other flammable substances in unsafe places in contravention of the country’s laws.

The stored fuel is suspected to have been for re-sale.

In an unrelated incident, police in Zvishavane are investigating a murder case in which Remember Karera was found dead with two deep cuts on the head and bruises all over the body in a bushy area near SQ Suburbs, Maglass T/Ship at the weekend.

Police in Harare are also probing the of murder Tafadzwa Hukama, who found dead on the 25th of February with a deep cut on the head at a house along Dacombe Road in Chisipite. New Ziana
