Warriors prospect Leon Chiwome nets brace to help Wolves Academy win

Zimbabwe Warriors prospect Leon Chiwome was one of the scorers when the Wolves Academy were 3-0 victors over West Brom U21s on Monday.

The 18-year-old forward broke the deadlock with seven minutes into the second half.

Furthermore, he found the back of the net again in the 70th minute to complete his brace.

He was later subbed off in the 81st minute, paving the way for Holman.

Chiwome will be hoping to continue with his form in their next fixture against Crystal Palace next week Monday.

Chiwome joined Wolves Academy from AFC Wimbledon in 2022 in the summer.

In September 2022, Chiwome was listed among the 20 promising players in the English Premier League (EPL) by the UK publication The Guardian.

He was recognised by the publication as “one of the brightest young talents in the Premier League”.

Born in England to a Zimbabwean father and a British mother, Chiwome is eligible to play for the Zimbabwe Warriors.
