Zanaco and Zimbabwean midfielder Tafadzwa Rusike was on fire for his team at the weekend, scoring a hat trick.
It was the former Caps United star’s first time to score a hat trick in his career and Rusike says he is excited and prays that it’s the beginning of many to come.
“I am excited and happy for scoring my first hat trick and I hope it’s not the last but the first of many to come.
“Above all I am grateful to God for the great performance. I’m proud that I made it.
“It’s amazing and I was so happy being the man of the match and even scoring.
“I hope to score more goals and help my team in any way I can,” he said.
“I am so happy to have scored a hat trick, I can’t really explain how l am feeling but it’s amazing to have done that for my team.
“Scoring is fun especially when you have score more than one in the same game.”
Rusike joined Zanaco after being crowned champions in the PSL with Makepekepe in 2017.
“l am enjoying being here and will be staying with my team hoping for the best as time goes on.
“Right now l am just looking forward to just enjoy this season and have a great time and better season in the Zambian League.
“Like any other season l just want the team to do well and l want to do better than last season. I also want to continue with a good form because people want to see if l am consistent.
“I also aim to prove my worth in this team, because they’re a big club here so one has to prove himself to be here,” he said. H-Metro
