Jose Mourinho gets 6-month driving ban

José Mourinho is famous for parking the bus but the Chelsea manager may have to consider catching one after being banned from driving for six months.

The self-styled “Special One” pleaded guilty to speeding last September near the Chelsea training ground.

According to The Guardian: “Mourinho was caught on a speed camera doing 60mph in a 50mph zone on the A3 in Esher, close to Chelsea’s training ground at Cobham, last September.”

“He pleaded guilty to the offence at Staines magistrates’ court on Wednesday and was fined and banned through having nine points already on his licence.”

Along with losing his license, Mourhino was ordered to pay £1,820 in fines, court costs and surcharges.

The court reportedly took Mourinho’s “significant income” into account. This year the Sunday Times Rich List put his fortune at £40m.

Mourhino has a history of making “ride the bus” jokes but now it appears the jokes are on him.
