LONDON – DJ Fydel and DJ Principal won the Zimbabwe Cup Clash UK 2015 competitions held at the Dunstable Leisure in Luton on Saturday. Fydel won the Dancehall crown while Principal came up tops in the Afro Beats category.

Both DJ’s walked away £500 richer.

Sound clash connoisseurs Tendai “DJ Flevah” Tembo and Etherton “Etherton Beenie” Mutemasango who make up Judgement Yard travelled from Zimbabwe to be the judges on the night.

This year the annual sound system competition on the dancehall side featured DJ Envy (defending champion) DJ Fydel of Black Identity Records (reigning Southern African Cup Clash champion) and Dancehall Defenda.

On the Afro Beats side those who went head to head were Team 1Love (Silvaa King and Crew), Ace Entertainment and DJ Principal.

UK based promoter King Alfred who runs New Generation Entertainment thanked the Zimbabwean community for coming in their large numbers to support the event which marked its 10th year anniversary.
