The musician was speaking at a press conference held at Dandaro Inn on Tuesday ahead of the Sting dancehall clash that will be held on November 8 at the City Sports Centre.

The dancehall clash will run under the theme “Say No to Violence and No to Can Throwing” but Seh Calaz, who will be one of the performers said he would not take heed to the advice.

He said those who want clean music should listen to Tocky Vibes.

“I will continue with my violent lyrics and if you want clean lyrics (you should) listen to the so called dancehall priest, Tocky Vibes,” he said.

Asked if his lyrics on most of his songs would not incite violence among dancehall fans the musician said that was none of his business.

“I don’t mind if they fight but just know that I sing violent lyrics,” he insisted.

Promoter of the Sting show Patson Chimbodza was left in the cold as the musician insisted that he will continue with his violent behaviour.

Chimbodza had told Journalists that the idea of the event was to call for peace and order in dancehall.

“We have brought this idea so that we can bring peace in the dancehall fraternity,” said Chimbodza.

Historically Sting is a clash of artists and in some countries fans are killed at such events.

“Ours is different in that we want to preach peace to dancehall fans and for that reason we have beefed up our security,” he said.

The event will see Seh Calaz clashing with Soul Jah Love, Quonfused against Terminator, Lady Squander vs Lady B, Jiggaz vs Ricky Fire among other clashes.

Seh Calaz, has always grabbed headlines for violence, he was once embroiled in a nasty war of words with Soul Jah Love.

The two exchanged harsh words and dragged in Soul Jah Love’s wife Bounty Lisa who was verbally attacked in the song ‘‘Life Yemboko’’.

The song is a direct attack on Soul Jah Love and his wife.

When he was asked to comment on the lyrics of his song, Seh Calaz said he was merely responding to Soul Jah Love’s song titled “Ndine Musindo” where he claims he attacked him.

Zimdancehall fans have previously castigated Seh Calaz who they accuse of trying to ride on controversy.

He has proved that he is not violent lyrically only but also physically as he once fought in public with fellow musician Qounfused over a woman identified only as Astraal Vanessa.

He also wrote a song taking a dig at Winky D whom he accused of being fake.

Some of his songs have since been barred from being played at some radio stations because of the lyrics that are likely to instil violence among the youthful fans of Zimdancehall.

Meanwhile, dancehall chanter Kinnah has called for unity among dancehall artistes.

“We have to tell these guys to stop what they are doing, we are tired of these hate lyrics and what pains some of us Zimdancehall artists is that they are dragging the name of the genre into disrepute, something that is not good for the industry,” he said. The Herald
