This is singer Astral Vee Vanessa, the woman at the centre of the love triangle that drove dancehall artist Qounfuzed to assault fellow chanter Seh Calaz.
Qounfuzed- real name Mcdonald Sheldon- attacked Calaz back stage during the Soul Jah Love and Bounty Lisa’s engagement party at the Harare Gardens early Sunday morning. Qounfuzed is alleged to have pounced on Calaz while he was leaving the stage and gave him a good share of fists.
At the time there was no proper explanation for the fistfight. But it turns out Seh Calaz who is married slept with Qounfuzed’s girlfriend, Astral Vee Vanessa, and then allegedly deliberately leaked the pictures on Whatsapp.
Vanessa used her Facebook page to clear the air and apologize.
“I want to apologise to Quonfuzed for all the trouble I put him through. You did not deserve what I put you through. I hope you forgive me. I regret it. Seh Calaz was a mistake and I hope his wife forgives me too.
“I look forward to working on my music and I pray that Zim dancehall artists will unite. beef hapana kwainotisvitsa.”
Meanwhile Seh Calaz as we reported earlier has decided not to press charges against Quonfuzed. Calaz’s manager, Godfrey Bakasa said they had put the incident behind them but it will be too early for the artists to share a stage.
“We decided it was wiser and mature to drop the charges because it is not a good thing to see one of our own in the dancehall circles having to go through the trauma of being dragged to the courts or even facing a jail term,” he said.
