Youthful Buhera born Artwell Makumbe takes the Zimbabwe information, communication technology superhighway to another level by creating a social network site.

When the term social network is used, the likes of Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube all come to mind.
Social networking and social media are growing in significance and attracting millions of users many of whom have integrated these sites into their daily practices as part of the digital lifestyle.
A keen computer programmer, Makumbe says he started programming this site in September 2013.
The 24 year old Makumbe contemplated on the idea when he discovered many features were absent in some of the social network sites such as facebook.
Through research and programming knowledge, he came up with a new site called Zimclick.
The site has new features such as sandbox, ajax browsing, theme management, market place, blogs, ad campaigns, video and musical sharing, multilingual with Shona and Ndebele ,instant messaging, member profiles, ad campaigns and user groups.
“I discovered this site in September 2013. Through my programming knowledge I discovered many features were absent in prevailing social network sites,” said Makumbe.
Makumbe urged the Zimbabwean youths to take up the initiative of getting involved in technological research and take advantage of the prevailing information technology changes in order to solve the software problem as Africans.
Zimclick lies in a myriad of social networks that have been developed and introduced in Africa specifically to meet the requirements of local users.
Some of the sites include African zone, African planet, yokoos, motribe, bongoline, blueworld among others.
To come up with a website, one needs a network developer who devises the platform.
The website is then registered as a domain to internet service providers and connect it to a host. ZBC
