Ninja President Winky D, will be captain of the Zim dancehall side taking on sungura artists at the Chipaz Promotions Umdlalo soccer match at Gwanzura this Saturday.
Winky D will be making his debut in the challenge match, which is part of Chipaz Promotions’ 10th anniversary.
Event organiser Partson Chimbodza said: “We are ready for the challenge match that will be held on Saturday.
“Winky D’s camp has confirmed that Winky will be available and we have decided to give him the arm band.
“He is a natural leader and we hope he will captain a winning side”
He added: “We decided to host this match after realising that we have many dancehall artists.
“We are also trying to unite artists as you know there is a lot of ‘beef’ in this genre.
“As for the sungura artists, Alick Macheso will captain the team and we urge fans to show up in numbers.”
As part of the anniversary, Chimbodza will hold an exclusive celebrities dinner on Wednesday.
On Friday, the stable hosts a Sungura Night at Gwanzura.
A soccer match pitting sungura artists against Zim dancehall chanters will be held on Saturday.
Later in the evening a mammoth dancehall bash will be held at the same venue.
The curtain comes down on Sunday with the gospel show being the major calling card at Gwanzura.
