Harare man pours urine on wife

HARARE – A man who poured urine on his wife at the height of altercations was hauled before the courts. Munashe Murangwani was brought before the Harare Civil Court by his wife, Patience Pundo on allegations of physical and emotional abuse. 

Pundo told the court that her husband could not control his anger and urinated in containers before pouring the contents on her.

“My husband is very abusive and cannot manage his anger. He is always assaulting me and goes to the extent of urinating in containers, pouring the urine to my face,” Pundo said.

“He used to abuse me even when I was pregnant causing me to go through a lot of trauma. Sometimes he takes buckets of water that we keep in the house for domestic use and pours it on me and our property.

“Our bed is always wet and most of the property destroyed. I wish the courts could help us restore sanity in our home, protect me and the children.”

Magistrate, Olivia Mariga granted the protection order in favour of Pundo after Murangwani did not oppose the application. Daily News
