CAPS United coach Moses “Bambo” Chunga would rather lose all pre-season matches and improve the team than win all friendlies and falter when the season starts. Bambo argues that he does not worry much about the scorelines from pre-season friendly matches.

To him what is important is to learn from the performances and come up with a winning formula for the actual league championship where scorelines matter. Tomorrow Bambo leads his CAPS United side against big-spending newcomers FC Platinum at Rufaro.
Last weekend, CAPS United beat Chicken Inn 2-1 in a friendly match in Bulawayo. “I would rather stumble now than later when the league season has started. FC Platinum have brought in very good players and we have also equally done so. “They are a very strong team. Our friendly match with them will help us prepare for the season. We are so far progressing well in our preparations but I’m still working on the combinations.”
CAPS now boast of one of the strongest sides in the Premiership with their strikeforce standing out.
With the likes of Evans Gwekwerere, Simba Sithole and Clive Kawinga in their ranks, CAPS United have been using three strikers in their formation.
“You need more striking options in every game. The fans come to watch goals and we have to deliver. The other striker can be off-form but you can always score through the other one who is also in the game.
“It just increases our attacking options in a game and we are guaranteed goals. Like I have said before, I play to win games and I prefer an attacking game. “At the moment 99 percent of the team is ready. As a team we want to do well,” said Bambo
