Gospel Diva Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave is expecting baby No. Three! In an interview with H-Metro at her newly acquired mansion in Bluffhill, the 30-year-old songbird said she was ecstatic about her pregnancy.
“I am expecting baby number three and my family is really excited about the blessing. We treasure children as a gift from God and it’s also biblical to bear children,” she said. The heavily pregnant singer told H-Metro that the baby will be her LAST unless her husband, Courage Mashavave demands more.
“I am hoping that the tot will be my last one since I am 30 years now. But it also depends with daddy, he might need more and I will respect that.”
Fungisai who has gained weight and developed pimples declined to pose for a photo. “Maybe in the next few months or more, face yangu irikutyisa (my face is scary),” she added. Fungisai is a mother of two, Tawananyasha (five) who is starting Grade one this year and Matipanyasha a girl aged two.
Asked how she was balancing between music and family, Fungisai said having a big family will not deter her from carrying out shows. “I am going ahead with music and very soon I’m holding a launch for my new album Highway,” she said.
Meanwhile, Courage Mashavave a full-time banker at TN Holdings admitted that a bigger family demands a lot although he vowed to work hard for the family.
“I must pull up my socks to sustain the big family. It means I must work extra hard to provide for my wife and children, I don’t want them to lack anything. Even the Holy Bible says the man should work to provide for his family,” he said. It seems the couple has really respected the gospel of procreation!
On the other hand, Fungisai described her six-year marriage as sweet. “So far so good, I can’t complain because there are no changes ever since we got married. Courage is very supportive and I always pray to God for a happy marriage,” she boasted.
