The Democratic Party (DP) strongly condemns a violent and provocative political statement that was issued by Augustine Chihuri in which he condemned denigrated, ridiculed and threatened leaders and supporters of political parties outside the current illegitimate and dysfunctional GNU regime in Zimbabwe.

HARARE- Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai on Friday briefed journalists on the state of the coalition government and accused President Robert Mugabe of being insincere and hampering progress. He says the Zanu PF leader is obsessed with what he believes are his own powers to the detriment of the government.

Today the 21st of February, President Robert Mugabe turns 88 years old. We are aware that he has splashed millions of dollars in organizing a lavish party for himself and his group accomplices that have plundered our resources, killed our relatives, persecuted our leaders and destroyed our country driving millions into poverty.

The following is a copy of a leaked letter written by Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai to President Robert Mugabe. The letter deals with the status of the Inclusive Government, including violence, arrest of Ministers and the appointment and promotion of Service Chiefs and other Security personnel.

HARARE- The Combined Harare Residents Association has done a survey which is meant to unravel the causes and trying to find lasting solutions to the current health crisis.

There has been a lot of confusion regarding the strike by civil servants pressing for better remuneration. As Minister of Public Service and a former trade unionist, I am aware of where the workers are coming from and that they deserve better remuneration.

HARARE- Reports that the police in Harare and in Nkayi went on the rampage and assaulted innocent people going about their business make sad reading and only serve to confirm why our collective confidence in our police force continues to be eroded every day.

On the 6th of January 2012, The Herald published an article titled “PM embroiled in bribery scandal” in which it was unambiguously alleged that he had bribed Editors from three private newspapers in order to influence them to write what The Herald described as positive stories on his political and personal life.

The records indicated that Mr. Tapa was sending the money, via Moneygram to his daughter, Lorcadia Tapa, in Harare, Zimbabwe and not directly to the ROHR Zimbabwe administration staff. That is where the verified trail of the transactions ends.
