NORTON - Two individuals have been arrested for bribery after allegedly offering US$150 to a detective to influence testimony in a high-profile armed robbery case involving 15 counts.

Norton Member of Parliament Richard Tsvangirai was involved in a car accident on Monday evening on the Old Mazowe road area while returning from the New Parliament Building in Mt Hampden. He escaped the incident without sustaining any injuries. Tsvangirai confirmed the development to Nehanda Radio on Tuesday morning.
In an interview with Nehanda Radio, Norton legislator Richard Tsvangirayi has emphasised the need for urgent action to prevent similar incidents. He attributed the fishermen's risky behaviour to unemployment and poverty, stemming from Zimbabwe's economic challenges.
HARARE - Former Norton legislator Temba Mliswa has urged his daughter, Mudiwa, to become an advocate against drug and substance abuse, following her acquittal in a case where she was accused of possessing drugs at a Harare residence.
Temba Mliswa: "What Selmor did was not only unfair - holding her fans, her family, her father's legacy and Zimbabwe at whole at ransom. Emotional ransom. Her conduct was also illegal. If I was the legal counsel for the Mtukudzi family trust I would be mulling the mounting of a huge legal suit against her illegal and unprofessional conduct."
