In May 2019, the Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (ZCDC) board of directors fired seven senior executives, including then CEO Mpofu following reports of rampant corruption and abuse of office. Mpofu at one point in that same year was arraigned on charges of criminal abuse of office charges after he allegedly recommended that ZCDC should sell diamonds to a blacklisted buyer.

Zimbabwe Revenue Authority acting (ZIMRA) commissioner-general Rameck Masaire has retired after just a year in the office.

Joseph Richard Crnkovic claims he was deported from Zimbabwe in 2015 and declared a prohibited immigrant for disclosing that there is no approval from the Environmental Management Agency (EMA) to bury people on the farm and the cemetery was an illegal enterprise.
