Kelly Khumalo’s sister sides with Jub Jub as he fights for access to his son

SOUTH AFRICA – Songstress Zandile Khumalo-Gumede, the sister of Kelly Khumalo, has come to the defence of media personality Jub Jub, who has been fighting Kelly for access to their son, Christian.

This comes after Jub Jub real name Molemo Maarohanye posted a video on his Instagram pleading with Kelly to stop assassinating his character, making claims that he is a deadbeat father, yet she’s the one denying him access to his son.

In the video, Jub Jub called out Kelly for being selfish and trying to control a negative narrative about him to their son. He pleaded with her to stop the character assassination campaign.

“Kelly, you and I know what court is like. I don’t want to be putting my boy through that. Going to court like his mother and father,” he said.

“You know how many times I’ve tried to get hold of you to try and get the boy. You know how many times your sister Gumede and your mother have been trying to talk about me meeting the boy, to get the freedom to see the boy.

“I don’t know if you want to hold on to the boy and put him in a bottle so you can control him like AI. Stop making my child AI, it’s not nice, it’s not fair. Stop saying I am a deadbeat dad.”

The Ndikhokhele hitmaker went on to say that despite being behind bars at the time, he still tried to show love and responsibility by sending gifts — until Kelly allegedly started returning them around 2014 and 2015.

Speaking to a local publication, Zandile collaborated Jub Jub’s claims, saying he really tried to get access to his child but Kelly keeps denying him.

“At one point, my mother and I were mediating discussions, but unfortunately, nothing came of it,” said Zandile.

“Molemo also wanted to come and pay damages at home. He even spoke to my husband, Gumede, who then spoke to my mother. Sadly, that too didn’t work out due to a lack of cooperation on our side.”

While avoiding direct criticism of her sister, Zandie acknowledged that both sides share responsibility for the ongoing deadlock.

“Molemo and Kelly still have unresolved issues, which are clear from their public feuds. I don’t want to get into details, but Molemo has genuinely been trying and keeps getting rejected.

“I’ve also spoken to Christian about his father; it’s clear he wants to see him, but I cannot take him to his father without his mother’s permission.

“Both Molemo and Kelly are at fault. They have hurt each other deeply, and they need to resolve their issues first before they can co-parent effectively,” she said.
